Countries and languages
Track an app in more than one App Store country, compare ranks between them, and give each storefront a listing in its own language.
Updated
Each App Store country ranks apps on its own, and each one reads the listing in its own language. AppDoctor tracks the same app in as many countries as you like.
Track an app in another country
Open Apps, choose the country in Add an app, and add your app again (search for it or paste its App Store link). AppDoctor starts tracking it there too and opens its keywords in that country. Adding a keyword in a new country with the country menu in Keywords does the same.
On the Apps card, each country has its own tag:
- Click a tag to open the app's keywords in that country.
- Click ✕ on a tag to stop tracking the app there. Its keywords in that country go with it. The country you first added the app from stays.
In Keywords, the switch at the top moves between the countries you track. The sidebar shows their flags.
A listing for each language
A storefront shows the listing in its own language when there is one (English (U.K.) in the UK, say), and otherwise your primary language. Each language is a separate name, subtitle and 100-character keyword field, so it's also more room for keywords.
To add one, open Localization and choose Add language… at the bottom of the list. AppDoctor creates it in App Store Connect, ready to fill in.
Research each language rather than translating: people in each country search in their own words.
Where AppDoctor points these out
- The ASO audit flags countries you track with no listing in their language, and languages your app supports that your listing doesn't.
- Your AI can write a listing for each country you track. Ask "Write listings for the other countries I track" in the chat beside Localization.
