Screenshots and videos

Design App Store screenshots in real device frames, the iOS 27 product page header and search art, and app preview videos at Apple's sizes.

Updated

Screenshots in the sidebar holds four designs for each app: iPhone, iPad, the product page header and the search result art.

Designs

Design Canvas Exports
iPhone 1320 × 2868 6.9" and 6.5"
iPad 2064 × 2752 13" and 12.9"
Page header 3840 × 1646 (21:9) Image or video
Search result 3840 × 2560 (3:2) Image or video

A design is a row of slides. Each slide has a background and layers: text, devices, images and shapes.

  • Devices: every iPhone from iPhone X to the latest, and every iPad, in each finish or with no frame. Drop in a screenshot or a screen recording of your app.
  • Text: any font installed on your computer, with lines broken where the export will break them.
  • Across slides: a layer that runs past one screenshot's edge carries on into the next, for panoramas.
  • Drawings: add an SVG (an AI can draw one for you) and each part becomes its own layer to move, resize and edit.

Export PNGs writes every screenshot at the sizes App Store Connect asks for.

App preview videos

Turn on Make a video in the inspector with nothing selected. Slides become scenes, joined by a push, fade or cut.

  • Each layer can enter, leave and drift: fade, rise, slide, zoom or pop.
  • A device can play a screen recording of your app.
  • Add synthesized sound effects, or your own music and voice-over.
  • Export video writes an H.264 MP4: 886 × 1920 for iPhone or 1200 × 1600 for iPad, 15 to 30 seconds, at 30 frames a second, as App Store Connect expects. Video export needs macOS for now.

With your AI

Click AI in the Screenshots header and ask for what you want: "Design 5 screenshots with short benefit headlines", or "Make a 20-second app preview of the app's best features". The AI can record your app in the iOS Simulator for the device screens. See Use AppDoctor with AI.
